Game art for a child's game

2023

I was able to work on a children's game that is used in Austrian schools. In it, the children practice cognitive skills and the recognition of their own and other people's emotions. Together with the mouse Lewi, Reginald, the worm and many ants, they travel through space and meet new friends.

For this project I created graphics as well as animations and videos as a freelancer.

Twitch Design for Alea

2023

Jörg Roth aka Alea, frontman of the band Saltatio Mortis, is also a streamer on Twitch. There I help him with the visual design of his channel. In the beginning, I created emotes for his channel that viewers can use in the chat. Then came the complete revision of the stream graphics*. At a later stage, I took on further tasks and edited smaller, shorter videos for social media from the streams. My tasks also included streaming plans for Instagram and special graphics for special events such as his anniversary. For his annual recap, I created a video from lots of funny clips in the first year and a separate website in the second year.

When working with Alea, I made sure that his Twitch channel design also matched his band design, as this channel is also the band's official channel. I was provided with graphics for this. As he is a public figure, I always have to make sure to present him in a good light.

For the concept, I tried to recreate the background that the band uses on social media. In the final design, the logo moves like a heartbeat.

Master thesis

2018

Prelaria is a point & click educational game about malaria prevention. It is intended to teach how to protect yourself from mosquitoes and therefore from infection. Only a small level has been completed. I used Unity for development. I wrote the code and painted all the graphics.

Bachelor thesis

2014

I developed a tool with the idea of making it easier to teach graph theory during my studies. Graphs change their state over time, which can only be represented on a blackboard by painting over or repainting them. As a student you have to repaint the entire graph every time the state changes. Graphs animated via presentation slides are easier to use, but typically as a student you only get the final graph to print out.

My little programWildGraphsworks like a presentation that can be animated. All states can be saved as images. Graphs can be saved and loaded. It is written in Java.
