Background Story

Hi, I'm Jennifer Wilde and I was born as a German northern light.
You can find me online as Chelsy or WildeChelsy.
I have always painted. I don't remember not doing it. I was also fascinated by games very early on and played a lot, offline and online.
After a ten-year break, I am now playing an electric violin

During my school days, I worked in a children's painting studio, designed logos and started programming. I also looked at 3D modeling and created my own maps in some games. I also started playing the violin and took dance courses.

After graduating from high school, I wanted to go into games. I was faced with the decision of whether I should study design or computer science and I chose the middle path of media information technology.

During my studies we worked a lot with games and also implemented small prototypes in projects ourselves. After completing my bachelor's degree, I moved from HAW Hamburg to the University of Lübeck and started my master's degree in media informatics there. After two semesters, I switched to computer science with a focus on software system engineering and completed it.

I then worked as a Unity developer for four years. I worked on many different projects with several teams. I was the lead developer for some of them and one project also received an award.
After my health continued to decline, I decided not to pursue software development as a career. During this time I also did therapy.

My inner
critic
I have been working on psychology and personal development for several years. This gave me a lot of insight and realized that I needed more freedom in my work. I need the opportunity to express myself emotionally creatively in order to stay healthy. Because of my traumatic childhood, art is also a form of therapy for me.
I find it difficult to only do one thing at a time. I have too many interests and too many ideas for that. I also love always learning new things.

That's why I took some time afterwards to reorient myself. I thought back to the things I like to do – painting, design, making music.
So I've gone back down the road to the fork in the road of design and programming - with all the knowledge and experience I've gained - and am now taking the path of art and design.
